Design 86 LLC is a design company. Our services include the Catchy Cards mobile application and its support website catchycards.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how it's shared when you use our services. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not use our services.

Information You Provide
When you interact with our services, we collect information that you provide to us. For example, our services require you to set up an account via Email or Google Sign-in. We collect details such as your name, email address, and profile photo provided by your identity provider.
Hand-Drawn Content: You provide us with the drawings and phrases you create within the app. While these are stored on our servers to enable syncing and AI features, your privacy is our priority. We do not share your private card sets with other users or third parties unless you explicitly mark them as public.
Public Sharing: You may choose to share your Card Sets with the community. Keep in mind that users who view your public sets can save that content. Do not share drawings or phrases that contain sensitive or personal information you wouldn't want others to save.
Information We Get When You Use Our Services
When you use Catchy Cards, we collect information about your activity. Here is a breakdown:
Usage Information
We collect information about how you interact with our services, such as the number of cards created, frequency of study sessions, and the languages you are learning.
AI Processing Information
When you use the AI translation feature, your drawing and phrase are sent to OpenAI. This information is sent anonymously; no user identifiers (like your name or ID) are attached to the data sent for processing.
Device Information
We collect information about the hardware and software you use, such as the model, operating system version, unique identifiers, and language settings. We also detect network status to manage offline card storage.
Camera and Photos
Catchy Cards requires access to your device's camera or photo library if you choose to import existing sketches or reference images into your cards. We only access these when you specifically trigger the action.
Log Information
We use Google Analytics to track the use of our website. We may collect log info such as access times, pages viewed, and identifiers associated with cookies.
How We Use Information
We do not share your information with advertising services. We use your data to:
- Develop, operate, improve, and protect Catchy Cards.
- Sync your library across devices using Google Firebase.
- Power AI-driven image recognition and translation features.
- Verify your identity and prevent unauthorized activity.
- Monitor and analyze trends to make the drawing experience better.
- Enforce our Terms of Service (including NSFW content restrictions).
How We Share Information
We share information primarily to make the app functional. We do not sell your personal data.
With other Catchy Cards users
If you mark a Card Set as "Visible," other users can see your drawings, translations, and your public display name. If a set is private, it is never shared.
With Third-Party Service Providers
- Google Firebase: To store your account data and card library securely.
- OpenAI: To process translations and image recognition (sent anonymously).
- Google Analytics: To help us understand app performance.
For Legal and Safety Reasons
We may share information if we reasonably believe it is necessary to comply with legal processes, protect the safety of our users, or detect fraud and security concerns.
How Long We Keep Your Information
- We keep your drawings and phrases until you delete them within the app.
- We store your basic account info as long as your account is active.
- If you delete a set, it is immediately removed from the discovery.
Control Over Your Information
Access and Correction
You can edit your card sets and profile details directly in the app. If you cannot find a specific piece of data, contact us for assistance.
Deletion
You can delete your cards and sets within the app interface. For complete account deletion (wiping all data from Firebase), please contact us at hello@catchycards.com. We are committed to processing these requests promptly.
Children
Our services are not intended for, and we don't direct them to, anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will attempt to delete that information as soon as possible. If you believe that we might have any information from or about a child under 18, please contact us at hello@catchycards.com.
Updates
We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Major changes will be communicated via in-app notifications.
